Who can get Detour Capital?
Drivers with an active Detour Drive Account, on any plan. Detour Capital is a short-term loan from a registered credit provider. Each request is assessed, so approval is not guaranteed.
How much can I get?
R500 a week on On-The-Go, R1 000 on Professional Driver, and R2 500 on MyOwnBoss. It is a fixed amount for your plan. Move up a plan and the amount moves up from the following week; move down and it moves down.
What does it cost?
On On-The-Go, take R500, pay back R720. On Professional Driver, take R1 000, pay back R1 270. On MyOwnBoss, take R2 500, pay back R2 870. That is what you borrow, plus R120 interest and fees, plus your plan's weekly subscription. No admin fee and nothing else.
How do I pay it back?
In one go, from your next week's Uber earnings. There is no option to spread it over more weeks, and no debit order on your bank account. After that week your subscription carries on as normal.
Can I ask again?
Yes. One at a time: once it is paid back, you can ask again whenever you need it, while your subscription is active.
Where does the money go?
It is paid into your Detour Drive Account, which you open in the driver app.
