Detour has three weekly plans. They share the basics: Mobility Vouchers for fuel and EV charging on every plan, and Detour Capital for the week that needs it. What changes is the weekly fee, the Detour Capital amount, and the cover around you and your car.

What the step up buys you

  • On-The-Go to Professional Driver, R50 more a week: petrol and diesel for a car, AA roadside patrol assistance with a tow at a reduced AA rate, data-free navigation and the Uber Driver app, legal and technical advice, and Detour Capital of R1 000 instead of R500.
  • Professional Driver to MyOwnBoss, R100 more a week: the tow included instead of at a reduced rate, a longer AA roadside and Stand-by-you distance, Detour Capital of R2 500, and the option to drive a Detour car through Subscribe to Drive.

A quick way to choose

  • On a motorbike or scooter, or under a year on the road? Start with On-The-Go.
  • Driving your own car full time? Professional Driver is made for you.
  • Want a Detour car, or running more than just your own shifts? MyOwnBoss.
Pick the plan for the week you actually drive, not the week you hope to have.

Changing later

You can move up at any time, and the new fee and higher Detour Capital amount start the following week. You can move down or cancel from the following week, though anything you already owe stays owing. If you have a Detour car, you stay on MyOwnBoss while you have it.

Pick the plan for the week you drive, and move when your week changes.
