Detour Capital is a short-term payday loan from Pronto Loans, a registered credit provider (NCRCP 10240). Read Pronto Loans' terms and conditions.

This agreement is between you and Detour Holdings t/a Detour Limited (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/819492/07 ("Detour"). It governs Mobility Vouchers, which let you fill up with petrol or diesel, or charge an electric vehicle, and settle from your earnings rather than paying at the pump or the charger. Mobility Vouchers were called Fuel Vouchers until 1 November 2026; a balance drawn under that name is carried under this agreement unchanged.

Mobility Vouchers are available on every tier. EV charging is covered on every tier. For petrol and diesel, On-The-Go covers motorbikes and scooters, up to R500 a week; a car requires the Professional Driver or MyOwnBoss tier. What a voucher costs you is set out in writing before you take one, and no charge applies that was not disclosed to you then.

Fuel and EV charging are supplied through our partners, at the price that partner charges on the day, per litre at the pump or per kWh at the charger. Detour does not set that price, does not mark it up, and does not earn a margin on the fuel or the electricity itself. What you pay for the fuel or the charge is what the partner charged.

How it works

  1. You fill up or charge using the method we have given you.
  2. The partner charges Detour for that fill or charge.
  3. The amount is added to your Mobility Voucher balance.
  4. The balance is recovered from the earnings that reach us on your behalf, on the terms disclosed to you before you took the voucher.

You will be able to see what you have drawn and what is outstanding. A fill or charge you do not recognise should be reported to us immediately.

Your limit

We set a limit on what you may draw, based on what you earn. The limit is not an entitlement and may be reduced or withdrawn, in particular where your earnings fall or a recovery fails repeatedly.

Exceeding a limit is not a penalty event. We may simply decline further fills or charges until the balance comes down.

What you agree to

  • Use a Mobility Voucher only for a vehicle you are driving to earn.
  • Not let anybody else use it.
  • Keep to each partner's own terms at the pump or the charger.
  • Tell us immediately if the means of access is lost, shared or used without your permission.

You are responsible for fills and charges made with your access until you tell us it has been compromised.

Ending this agreement

Either of us may end your access to Mobility Vouchers at any time. Ending it does not cancel an outstanding balance, which continues to be recovered from earnings that reach us, at the same rate and with nothing added for ending early.
