Website terms of use
The terms for using detour.africa itself, as distinct from the services it describes.
Effective October 23, 2026
Back to all legal documentsDetour Capital is a short-term payday loan from Pronto Loans, a registered credit provider (NCRCP 10240). Read Pronto Loans' terms and conditions.
This website is operated by Detour Holdings t/a Detour Limited (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/819492/07, of Inospace - Olympia Works, 13 Olympia Street, Eastgate, Sandton, 2090 ("Detour").
Using this website means accepting these terms. They govern the website. The services the website describes have their own agreements, and where the two differ, the agreement for that service governs it.
What the information here is, and is not
The prices, figures and terms on this website are indicative and are confirmed with you before anything is signed. We publish what we know on the day; a page can be out of date between a change and a deploy.
Nothing on this website is financial advice. Detour is not a financial services provider. Where insurance is mentioned, the broker is KMJ One Capital, FSP 48696, introduced by Detour, and any advice about cover comes from them and not from us.
Detour is not a registered credit provider. Detour Capital, described on this website, is a loan from Pronto Loans, a registered credit provider (NCRCP 10240), which decides every request. Nothing on this website is a promise that you will be lent money. See the Detour Capital terms and the Financier credit agreement.
Any earnings figure on this website is an illustration based on stated assumptions, not a promise and not a guarantee of what you will earn.
How you may use it
You may read this website, and use the forms on it for their purpose. You may not:
- Copy, republish or sell its content, except for short quotation with attribution.
- Use an automated tool to scrape it, or to submit forms.
- Attempt to access a part of it you have not been given access to, or to interfere with how it works.
- Submit anything false, anything that is not yours to submit, or anything unlawful.
- Use somebody else's identity, details or payment method.
Attempting any of this may be an offence under the Cybercrimes Act, 19 of 2020, as well as a breach of these terms.
Links we send you
Some links we send are tied to you, such as a sign-in link or a payment link. Treat them as you would a password: anybody with the link can do what it allows. Do not forward one, and tell us if you think somebody else has it.
Detour will never ask you for a password, a card number, a one-time PIN or your banking details by email, by message or over the phone. A request that appears to come from us asking for any of those is not from us.
Who owns what is here
The Detour name, the logo, the design of this website and its content belong to Detour or to the people who licensed them to us. Partner names and logos belong to those partners and appear with their permission.
Photographs on this website are illustrative. A photograph of a vehicle shows that model, not necessarily the vehicle you would be given.
Availability
We try to keep the website up and correct, and we do not promise either. It may be unavailable, and a page may be wrong. Where something on it is wrong, the agreement you signed and the figure your agent confirmed govern, not the page.
Links to other websites are for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
Law and complaints
These terms are governed by South African law, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
Nothing here takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002, or any other law that cannot be contracted out of.
If something about this website is wrong, our Complaints procedure sets out how to raise it.
